As an experienced dancer and physiotherapist
Sophie Manuela Lindner knows how important the own, functioning body is.
During her eight years of visiting the Musische Gymnasium Salzburg, Sophie Manuela Lindner was trained in the areas of ballet, modern dance, contemporary, jazz and dance theater. Since 2002 she has participated in numerous urban dance competitions, including hip hop, locking, popping, newstyle and house.
In 2007 Sophie Manuela Lindner went to Madrid, Spain, where she dived into the world of break dance. In Spain, Sophie joined the breakdance crew ‚Mamafunk‚. Back in Austria she was part of the founders of the breakdance crew ‚M.O.T.‘ in 2010. Since 2014 she has joint the Bgirl Crew ‚Skill Sisters‘ from Stuttgart. Ever since she has been taking part in several battles, spectacles and street shows all around the world, and has established a name for herself on an international level.
One of her highlights was getting to the final of the female competition at the ‚Notorious IBE 2011′ (Heerlen, Netherlands). Her last big competition was in October 2015 at the ‚Battle Of The Year International – We*B-Girls Battle‘ (Braunschweig, Germany), representing Austria and Germany.
In order to share dance-medical knowledge to urban dancers, Sophie established ‚Urban Dance Health‚ in 2012. Urban Dance Health shares knowledge about health, training and treatment focused on the urban dancer’s specific needs.
As a physiotherapist specializing on dancers, Sophie regularly gives Health Workshops, Health Check-Ups and Health care for professional urban dancers, including the Red Bull BC One All Stars and the Red Bull Flying Illusion Company.
Today she is working as a physiotherapist at the Haid Gesundheitswerkstatt, a clinic specialized on myoreflextherapy, dancers, musicians and chronic pain outpatients, and as an associate researcher at the CIT Research Institute in Stuttgart.
